Citrix engineers have root caused the issue and implemented a fix. Virtual app and desktop launches using site aggregation have resumed normal operations.

Citrix engineering have detected an intermittent issue impacting end user app and desktop launches. Only app and desktop resources sourced from aggregated on-premises sites are impacted. Citrix engineering is investigating and working on resolution. As more information is available we'll update this site.
